“Taking a dump” and “fancy” shouldn’t appear in the same sentence, but they just did thanks to an artist named Ilma Gore. The Los Angeles-based artist recently repurposed multiple Louis Vuitton bags, and the result is a lavish toilet aptly called “Loo-uis Vuitton.”
Ilma created the “fully functioning potty” from $15,000 worth of LV bags she got from designer resale site Tradesy. Those items include a $3,000 suitcase. She used a total of 24 bags and finished the fancy toilet in three months.
Earlier this month, Gore showed off her creation on Instagram and playfully explained why she came up with an idea to make a toilet out of the super expensive bags. “I wondered what 15k of authentic @louisvuitton bags looked like as a fully functional toilet, so I made this,” she said in a caption for one of her photos.
The toilet is now on display at the Tradesy showroom in Santa Monica, California. But if you’re thinking of doing some renovation and want to have this toilet for your bathroom, then you can bring it home for $100,000.
