It has been less than a year since Marvel Studios unveiled its current logo. However, the logo will soon change again in celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Marvel Cinematic Universe next year.
Studio head Kevin Feige revealed the news during a recent interview with a French publication. As translated by Twitter user @marvel_shots, Feige compared Marvel studio’s move to that of “Star Wars”, which gets a new logo for its 40th anniversary.
“Like Star Wars, Marvel Studios will have a special logo for the 10th anniversary of the MCU next year,” so he said. However, he didn’t say whether or not the new logo will be used permanently for the future Marvel films. Also, he didn’t mention when the new logo would debut.
Marvel Studios’ current logo was unveiled during the company’s annual panel at last year’s San Diego Coming Con. So far, it’s been used in two of the studio’s latest films, last year’s “Doctor Strange” and earlier this year’s “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” It will also appear in the forthcoming “Spider-Man: Homecoming” that’s slated to be released next month.
