Between a polaroid camera or a smartphone, which one will you prioritize? If you get to choose only one of those items to bring on your vacation, then you shouldn’t worry because you can now have them both at the same thanks to a new gadget created by Polaroid and Motorola.
The two companies have teamed up on a new Moto Mod for the latter’s Z Series of phones. The new gadget is called the Polaroid Insta-Share Printer and it, as the name suggests, immediately prints any picture from your Moto Z phones.
To use the Mod, you just have to clip it to the back of your phone and connect it to your smartphone camera. The Mod also has a physical button you can use to launch the camera and take a picture, which it will then print on 2 x 3-inch ZINK paper. And not only the photo you’ve just taken, it can also print any photos from Instagram, Google Photos and Facebook.
Interested in purchasing one? Then you should be ready to shell out $199 for the printer when it comes out on November 17. Yes, that is significantly more expensive than Polaroid’s latest OneStep 2 ($99) and any other instant cameras out there, including the popular Fujifilm Instax Mini 9 ($70).
But most Moto Mods aren’t cheap. One Mod called the Hasselblad True Zoom, which improves Motorola Z phones’ camera, is on sale for nearly $300.
