Power Rangers Movie 2017 to Feature the World’s First LGBT Superhero. Is it True?

After Josh Gad’s shocking gay moment in Beauty and Beast movie, Power Rangers follows the step in adding a same gender romance in its 2017 movie. If it’s true, then Power Rangers will break the record with the first ever lesbian superhero in the history (should we congrats them?).

Yellow Ranger Confession

The speculation arises when Trini, the yellow ranger opens up about her relationship problem with her boyfriend. But as the scene runs, it turns out that Trini is hinting about her ‘other’ relationship. And it appears that she had it with a lady. Wow.

The actress that has been chosen for the role is no other than our Becky G. The 20 years old singer (born in March 2, 1997) is widely known for her career in music industry with her bomb debut song “Play It again” (2013). Her image is always been a strong and energetic girl. So the Director thinks it can support the realization of Trini’s problematic feeling.

It’s Always Been Explicit

Different from Beauty and the Beast gay character, Trini’s lesbian issue is not a mere fans speculation and it’s written on the script explicitly. Even the Director, Dean Israelite, speak up that, “she’s questioning a lot about who she is. She hasn’t fully figured it out yet”.

Power Rangers movie itself aimed to tell the problem each ranger had in their life. And apparently for Trini, it’s about finding her true identity. So, the lesbian character actually gets along well with the movie main idea. Let’s hope Becky G, who starred as Trini in Power Rangers movie 2017, can play along the lesbian character very well.
