When we talk about blogging, there are some habits that bloggers repeatedly do. Believe it or not, these bad blogging habits are what keeps you away from your blogging goals. One of them can even drain your motivation so that this whole blogging thing isn’t very exciting anymore. So, what are these bad blogging habits? Let’s talk about it deeper.
You’re Being Inconsistence
Blog needs a good management too, just like a business. And it includes consistency in posting contents. It’s not the quantity that matters, but your consistency. Posting 10 articles a day then none for the next 30 days is not the best thing to do. If you do that, your readers will go away. Because, well, your consistency in posting blog posts describes your seriousness in blogging. Why would people be interested in inconsistence blog?
You’re Being Too Confident of Your Post
You write good, I believe that. But it never hurts to proofread your writing before you hit “publish.” Because even the A-class writers need to reread their writings again to make sure it’s free from typos, grammar and spelling errors, and any other unwanted mistakes. If you’re unsure about your grammar skills, you can ask your friend to be your personal editor or simply download and install Grammarly to your PC.
Writing Something You Dislike
Just because a specific topic is the most searched topic in Google Trends, it doesn’t mean you have to blog about it. I understand that you aim for a high traffic, but if you dislike the topic, you shouldn’t write about it. Your reader will notice that you don’t put your heart in your writing. And no matter how much you try, your writing will sound so flat.
You Forget Tags
Tags are extremely helpful for readers to find your post. It also helps your article to secure a good rank in Google Search results. Aside from tags, categories are also useful to manage your blog posts.
