Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have set a wedding date. Through the Kensington Palace, the couple happily shared on Friday, December 15 that they would tie the knot on May 19, 2018.
As previously announced, they would exchange vows at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. That’s th same place many royal weddings have taken place since the 14th century. Those weddings included Harry’s dad Prince Charles and Camila Parker-Bowles’.
Harry and Markle got engaged late last month, just weeks after she moved to England. The prince presented the former “Suits” actress with a ring featuring diamonds from one of his late mom Princess Diana’s accessories.
The pair shared more details about the engagement in an interview with BBC. “It was a cozy night. We were just roasting chicken,” Markle said “It was just an amazing surprise and it was so sweet, and natural and very romantic. He got down on one knee.”
Harry, who described his proposal as “a really nice moment,” added, “It was just the two of us. I think I managed to catch her by surprise.”
