This news will drive Samsung Galaxy Fans crazy because there will be more wait ahead. Evan Blass, a noted phone leaker, says that his trusted sources have told him the global release date of Galaxy S8 is moved to April 28 (promptly it will be on April 21).
Another day of agony for fans (especially ex-Note7 owners). If the issue is true, consumers have to wait longer because they will not be able to touch Galaxy S8 until a month after it is officially announced on March 29.
More from Blass report says, a reason of the delay may lead to low yields on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835/Exynos 8895 system-on- chips (SoCs) which use more power efficient with 10 nanometer (nm) production process.
However, the delay shall be a good idea. People will gather more the Galaxy S8’s safety (after the previous release, Note7, has tendency to explode). Samsung cannot afford to mess up the latest gadget, Galaxy S8, with bad batteries or faulty processors. Regarding to a press conference in January describing more what caused Note7 to explode, Samsung admits it would implement a new 8-point battery safety check to closely inspect batteries to prevent fault repeat of Note7.
The Galaxy S8 is expected to have a new button-less front with larger curved displays (5.8 and 6.2 inch models). Also, more components under the hood, a powerful Bixby AI assistant, improved cameras, wireless charging, expandable storage, and more importantly, to make the phone a winner, it should have a headphone jack.
